A Finite Energy Property of Stable Inversion to Nonminimum Phase Nonlinear Systems

چکیده
Stable inversion is a completely new approach to the output tracking control of nonminimum phase nonlinear systems. It not only offers exact reproduction of a given reference output trajectory but also guarantees stability of all external and internal signals. After a brief review of the stable inversion problem, the paper establishes a finite energy property of stable inverses. That is, out of infinitely many possible inverse solutions, the one provided by the stable inversion process is the only one that has finite energy, or, the L2( 1; +1)-norm. The effectiveness of the stable inversion approach in output tracking as compared with the well-known classic inversion and nonlinear regulation approaches is demonstrated by working out an example of a nonlinear nonminimum phase system.

Guidance of Nonlinear Nonminimum-Phase Dynamic Systems
A technique to achieve output tracking for nonminimum phase linear systems with non-hyperbolic and near non-hyperbolic internal dynamics is presented. This approach integrates stable inversion techniques, that achieve exact-tracking, with approximation techniques, that modify the internal dynamics to achieve desirable performance. Such modification of the internal dynamics is used (a) to remove...
متن کاملStable Inversion for Nonlinear Nonminimum-Phase Time-Varying Systems
In this paper, we extend stable inversion to nonlinear time-varying systems and study computational issues—the technique is applicable to minimum-phase as well as nonminimum-phase systems. The inversion technique is new, even in the linear time-varying case, and relies on partitioning (the dichotomic split of) the linearized system dynamics into time-varying, stable, and unstable, submanifolds....
متن کاملTip trajectory tracking of a flexible-joint robot using stable inversion - Control Conference, 1997. Proceedings of the 1997 American
Design of output tracking controllers for nonlinear nonminimum phase systems is challenging. Among existing methods the regulation approach usually leads to large transient errors while the classical inversion approach results in unbounded internal dynamics for nonminimum phase systems. In this paper, stable inversion is applied to the design of tip trajectory tracking for a single-link flexibl...

متن کاملTip Trajectory Tracking for Multilink Flexible Manipulators Using Stable Inversion
The recently developed stable inversion theory for nonminimum phase nonlinear systems is applied to output tracking for multilink exible robot manipulators. The stable inversion theory and a numerical solution to stable inverses are brie y reviewed. Forward dynamics of a two-link exible manipulatorwith tip position as the output is then given using the assumed modes method. From that, an i...
